Cindy Ma is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford doing work on the discourse of white supremacy online, with a focus on YouTube personalities and their audiences. Her research examines the interactions between online ecosystems, political discourse, and racial inequity. Prior to starting her PhD, she completed an MSc in Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and worked in the nonprofit sector.
