MediaWell is inviting scholars and educators to borrow our Zotero library – a comprehensive, cross-disciplinary resource of 5,500+ books, reports, and peer-reviewed journal articles broadly related to digital information ecosystems. Since 2018, we’ve built our collection to include foundational texts and emerging research alike, organized across seven themes:
- Algorithms and Automation
- Credibility and Trust
- False Narratives and their Contexts
- Infrastructures and Methodologies
- Polarization and Political Manipulation
- Targeted Disinformation; and
- Regulation, Policy, and Platform Governance
This open call encourages academics of all backgrounds to build syllabi using our library, then share your results with us. Design introductory courses on post-truth politics, advanced topics in AI journalism or transnational platform governance, or methods training for social media research – our resources are yours to customize.
We’ll highlight a selection of syllabi on the MediaWell website, as well as in a featured post on the Social Science Research Council’s Instagram and Bluesky pages.
To contribute, send an expression of interest to mediawell@ssrc.org by August 15, 2015. The deadline to submit syllabi is August 31, 2025. Feel free to share this call with other scholars or research labs who might be interested in participating, and let us know if you have any questions.
