Access the internet, algorithms are curating what content you see. From the email promotions you receive through Google, Apple’s thoughts on an article you might like to read, and Amazon’s suggestions for which shirts go best with the pants you just bought. Algorithmic curation is a hallmark of the modern internet, but this might soon change. The Supreme Court is likely to upend this status quo by removing the legal protections these companies have enjoyed. And that would be a mistake.
