We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated post-doctoral researcher as part of a larger project aimed at the quantitative analysis of news audiences across a sample of more than forty countries, with a particular emphasis on digital media, news, and politics.
The postholder will take responsibility for and deliver on distinct parts of the Digital News Project, a larger project to advance our understanding of how journalism is changing in light of the rise of digital media and contribute insight to the news industry and the journalistic profession as well as rigorous academic analysis of substantially important questions concerning digital media and their implications. The purpose of the larger project is to develop a better understanding of media developments (and their implications), including the interplay between analogue and digital media and the relation between news provision and news consumption.
