Melody Devries
Melody Devries is a PhD candidate at Toronto Metropolitan University. Building from a masters degree in anthropology, Devries uses digital ethnographic methods to examine how far-right politics become compelling to ordinary people through everyday practices with technology. She has recently published with the Canadian Journal of Communication (March 2022), acted as lead editor for the volume Rise of the Far-Right: Technologies of Recruitment and Mobilization (2021), and contributed to the SSRC Items series Beyond Disinformation.
