Heidi Tworek

Heidi Tworek is Associate Professor of International History and Public Policy and Canada Research Chair (Tier II) at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Her work examines the history and policy of new media technologies, health communications, international organizations, and democracy. She is a senior fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation as well as a non-resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Canadian Global Affairs Institute. She has published or co-edited three books and five journal special issues as well as written around 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. She appears regularly on TV and radio in Europe and North America alongside writing op-eds for publications such as Foreign Affairs, Washington Post, and The Globe & Mail.
