Tomás Gold

PhD Candidate in Sociology, University of Notre Dame

Tomás Gold is a doctoral candidate in Sociology and a Kellogg Institute fellow at the University of Notre Dame. His research is focused on explaining the dynamic interactions between political parties, social movements, and civil society organizations seeking to generate both cultural and political change, with a particular interest in conservative and free-market advocacy. Tomás’ work has been published in Sociological Theory, Social Movement Studies and Latin American Politics & Society, and is forthcoming in the Oxford Handbook of Latin American Social Movements and the Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopedia of Social and Political Movements, among other venues.
