Welcome to Trust In News 2022: a two day virtual conference, which returns for a second year running – packed with insightful learnings, practical presentations and workshops. We’ll explore the fresh challenges in tackling disinformation and give you some of the tools you need to join the fight.
Speakers will include representatives from the Trusted News Initiative: a partnership of organisations including the BBC, Meta, Twitter, Reuters, AFP and The Washington Post. It is the only forum in the world of its kind designed to take on disinformation in real time.
On day one we will address protecting democracies around the world from the threat of disinformation. Original research, commissioned by the BBC, about news brands and reaching people who have misinformed views, will be presented by Rasmus Kleis Nielsen, Director of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. On day two, we’ll explore the danger to life that disinformation can cause and how to defend against it.
