Open Postdoctoral Position, Faculty Mentor Jennifer Pan

“We, Jennifer Pan and Yiqing Xu, are looking to hire an outstanding and motivated full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow. The position will be based at Stanford. The position will last for 2 years, starting in Fall 2019.

The postdoctoral fellow will work with us on various projects related to public preferences, media, and politics in China. The principal job of the postdoc will be to design and implement survey and experimental research. She or he will be involved in all aspects of the research, but with a particular emphasis on survey and experimental design, study implementation, data acquisition, and data analysis. Additionally, the postdoc will have the opportunity to work with large-scale textual data.

The postdoc will have the opportunity to co-author papers envisioned to appear in top journals that report on the results of the studies. Both PIs are committed to closely interacting with the research fellow.

The initial appointment will be for one year beginning between October and December 2019, with an expected renewal for a second year contingent on satisfactory performance and funding. Salary is competitive, and benefits are provided.
