The SSRC is an independent, international, nonprofit organization. It fosters innovative research, nurtures new generations of social scientists, deepens how inquiry is practiced within and across disciplines, and mobilizes necessary knowledge on important public issues.
“The Citizens and Technology Summit brings together communities, researchers, and advocates to share, imagine, and design citizen-led agendas for technology and society.
How can citizens work for a world where digital power is guided by evidence and accountable to the public? Leaders in the field will share lightning talks of inspiring projects to test the social impacts of technology, discover effective actions for change, and scale those discoveries.
The summit will also launch a new identity for the Citizens and Technology Lab (currently CivilServant), which started as a PhD project and has grown into a center for innovation at Cornell University. The summit is hosted by the Citizens and Technology Lab.”
