El crecimiento exponencial de la información pública disponible para la ciudadanía ha provocado la aparición de fenómenos como las fake news y la posverdad, debido a la dificultad de discernir la información verosímil de los bulos, que se abren camino con mayor rapidez por las redes digitales gracias a su conexión emocional con unas audiencias acríticas y crédulas. Las redes sociales como Twitter se han convertido en el vehículo perfecto para difundir este tipo de noticias falsas y bulos, en los que el islam es tema recurrente, y fomentar así la islamofobia. El incendio de Notre Dame en abril de 2019 fue una buena muestra de cómo en Twitter se difunden este tipo de informaciones con el objetivo de sembrar el odio hacia esta religión por parte de grupos radicales y de extrema derecha. A través de una extracción y análisis de tuits y los usuarios que los difunden, es visible cómo las publicaciones islamófobas hacen más ruido y consiguen más difusión que otro tipo de publicaciones, y que cuando se alían términos como islamcon otros de actualidad suele ser para extender el odio o el miedo hacia esta religión, sembrando el desconcierto y la paranoia mediante la desinformación.
[EN] The exponential growth of public information available to citizenshas led to the appearance of phenomena such as fake news and post-truth, due to the difficulty of discerning the credible information from the hoaxes, which make their way faster through digital networks thanks to his emotional connection with uncritical and credulous audiences. Social networks like Twitter have become the perfect vehicle to spread this type of false news and hoaxes, in which Islam is a recurring theme, and thus promote Islamophobia. The fire of Notre Dame in April 2019 was a good example of how Twitter is disseminated this type of information with the aim of sowing hatred towards this religion by radical and far right groups. Through an extraction and analysis of tweets and the users that disseminate them, it is visible how the Islamophobic publications make more noise and get more diffusion than other types of publications, and that when terms such as Islam are combined with other current ones, it is usually for spread hatred or fear towards this religion, sowing bewilderment and paranoia through misinformation.
