With the introduction of deepfake software, which may alter faces with relative ease and manipulate screen interactions, and the implementation of the dark web, new criminological and zemiological realities emerge. I will discuss aspects of these virtual dimensions and how they become even more significant when they engage with false information distributed on the web, especially in light of the potential new technologies on the horizon (for example, artificial intelligence (AI), among many others). This chapter will problematize the ever-increasing hijacking of reality, the social and possible criminological implications, and the responsibility to indefinitely alter the Onlife dimension.
