Webcast | The Human Edge: Our Future with Artificial Intelligences

Higher education leaders, researchers, and practitioners will meet in Research Triangle Park on September 17th to explore the evolution of the relationship between humans and artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Attendees will generate a research agenda to understand and guide the evolution in a positive direction and to bring attention to regional AI capabilities. RTI International and Elon University are co-presenting this conference at RTI’s headquarters.

The conference will examine topics related to education, workforce, and labor; human agency and creativity; mental and physical health and well-being; and AI governance and democracy. With support from Burroughs Wellcome Fund, the Knight Foundation, and Schmidt Sciences, the program is organized by the Imagining the Digital Future Center at Elon University, and RTI International’s Fellows Program and University Collaboration Office.

Registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendance. Morning keynote sessions and the regional capabilities session will be streamed via Zoom. Registration for in-person programming has now closed. Please register for virtual attendance by September 15th.
