Nickol Global Solutions (NGS), on behalf of USAID’s Civil Society and Media (CSM) Team, is seeking an experienced Technology and Democracy Expert to support the Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Center within the Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI) Bureau at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID/DDI/DRG) under the DRG institutional support contract. The consultant will support the creation of a DRG Center Digital Vision, a document that will outline the DRG Center’s strategic approach to technology and its current and future programmatic and policy directions. This will involve conducting desk research and soliciting and analyzing substantial inputs from external partners and DRG Center and USAID Mission colleagues. The consultant will ensure synergy between the DRG Center Digital Vision and the forthcoming DRG Center Policy and ongoing digital democracy work for the Summit for Democracy and the subsequent “Year of Action”. The selected candidate may work remotely to carry out the assignment. This is a short-term consultancy with an anticipated period of performance of approximately six months. The consultant will work under the direction of the DRG CSM Team.
