DESCRIPTION:Time\, focus and community for your research on the societal impact of digital transformation \nA fellowship at the Center for Advanced Internet Studies (CAIS) provides the freedom to dedicate yourself to your research and the opportunity to join a vibrant interdisciplinary community. Step away from daily work routines to gain new perspectives and build lasting connections. \nAs a fellow\, you can spend either six or three months in Bochum\, Germany. In addition\, we will provide a fully furnished apartment free of charge. You can invite guests for collaboration and receive financial support for research expenses. Private offices and meeting rooms with modern facilities offer optimal working conditions. \nThe funding program is open to excellent scholars and practitioners\, to all career stages\, disciplines and areas of investigation\, as well as to pure research and to projects that are more applied in orientation. \nYou can apply for our regular open call\, or for our special call “Futures of Work”. \nThe next deadline for applications is 31 August 2026. The earliest possible starting date for new fellowships is October 2027. Please use the application form on our website. \n\nSee here for more information.

SUMMARY:Rest of World Labor x Tech Reporting Fellowship | Rest of World
DESCRIPTION:Rest of World is excited to announce a new opportunity for reporters native to regions outside the West who want to produce a deeply reported body of work on how tech impacts labor and workers around the world. \nWe are looking for four reporting fellows to join us for a full year and produce a series of articles on tech’s relationship with labor\, and the tech industry’s influence on both the nature of work and the state of workers. The fellowship is designed to engage reporters native to the regions we cover who have a basic understanding of those regions’ tech and business landscape. The reporting fellows will become part of our regular reporting team on the ground\, helping shape our storytelling by contributing original ideas for stories\, and working alongside our reporters and editors based around the world. \n[…]
