DESCRIPTION:“PDF CEE (Central & Eastern Europe) is a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences of activists\, including Central and Eastern Europe region dealing with increasing civic engagement and transparency in social and political life with the support of new technologies. In Poland since 2013\, PDF CEE is the largest European edition of the American Personal Democracy Forum conference organized by New York’s Civic Hall(formerly Personal Democracy Media) since 2004. \nPDF CEE 2019 together with the Festival of Civic Technologies will be a three-day event filled with brilliant speeches and workshop sessions. It’s time to make new friends and find inspiration for everyday work. This year the conference will be held under the slogan: In Whom We Trust. \nIn the lack of trust in the public sphere\, we often look for the causes of growing populism\, dissemination of false information and social splits. This is only part of the truth. However\, regardless of the subject of trust\, we need to trust in someone or something. The question is: who can we trust?”
